In class, I have been reading about Jesus christ's life and looking for acts of courage. I then had thirty minutes to write about it.
Courage-The ability to do something that frightens you
In Luke 4:31 Jesus confronts a man possessed by a demonised man the demonised man began shouting at Jesus."Go away! Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are-the Holy One of God!" Jesus cut him short ."Be quiet! Come out of the man," Jesus ordered. At that, the demon threw the man to the ground as the crowd watched; when the demon came out hurting him no further. The people exclaimed, "what authority and power this man's words possess!." Jesus was a believer in God and he helped spread the word of God to everyone. Jesus showed courage at this time because he came face to face with a demon and Jesus would have been scared to see a demonised man but Jesus had faith in God that God would help him.
Matthew 4 Jesus shows courage by facing the Devil and the Devil was trying to tempt Jesus but Jesus refused what the Devil told him to do in the wilderness. Jesus had been fasting for forty days and forty nights and one day the Devil had led Jesus to the wilderness away from everyone Jesus then came face to face with the Devil and the devil told Jesus."If you are the son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written:'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Matthew 45 The death of Jesus Christ. Jesus shows courage in this story because he was scared but even though Jesus was scared he was still calm but Jesus called out with a loud voice."My God, My God why have you abandoned me?" When Jesus said it again, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn from top to bottom the earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open when the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified and exclaimed, "surely he was the son of God!"
In conclusion, Jesus kept his faith in God all his life up until the day he died Jesus didn't fall into the temptation of the Devil he kept to the word of God and helped spread the word of God well-helping people with their problems Jesus would of had his very own problems too.
Jada,
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you paragraphing your ideas based on your topic. Your conclusion is marvelous! I see a lot of direct quotes from our Holy Bible (try to only have the key sentences and paraphrase the rest :) Lastly, punctuation is important. Check our your second paragraph's punctuation.
